From members, appliances and equipment through to training, activities, deployments, documents and administration, FireFront X brings the information your brigade needs together into one place.

Whether you're a firefighter checking what's happening this week, an officer managing operational information, or an administrator keeping the brigade running behind the scenes, FireFront X is designed to make the job simpler.

What is FireFront X?

FireFront X is a central management platform designed around the way volunteer fire brigades actually operate.

Instead of information being scattered across spreadsheets, paperwork, emails, messaging apps and someone's mysterious folder from 2017, FireFront X provides your brigade with a single place to manage its day-to-day information.

Depending on the features enabled for your organisation, FireFront X can help manage areas such as:

- Members — member records, roles and brigade information

- Activities & Events — training, meetings, activities and brigade events

- Appliances & Fleet — brigade vehicles and associated information

- Equipment & Assets — equipment records, inspections and maintenance

- Training — training activities and member development

- Checklists & Workflows — repeatable processes for everyday brigade tasks

- Messages & Notifications — keeping members informed

- Documents & Records — important brigade information in one accessible location

Available features may vary depending on your organisation's configuration and subscription.

Your FireFront X Experience

FireFront X is designed so that you only need to see the tools relevant to you.

Members

For most members, FireFront X provides a simple, mobile-friendly way to interact with their brigade.

You might use FireFront X to check upcoming activities, view brigade information, complete tasks or checklists, receive updates, or access information relevant to your role.

Brigade Administrators & Officers

Members with additional permissions may have access to management tools for areas such as members, activities, equipment, appliances, training and brigade administration.

Exactly what you can access depends on the permissions assigned to your account.

Organisations

Everything in FireFront X is organised around an Organisation.

For a volunteer fire brigade, your organisation will generally represent your brigade.

Your organisation keeps your members, activities, appliances, equipment and other information together while separating it from other organisations using FireFront X.

If you belong to more than one organisation, you may be able to switch between them without needing separate FireFront X accounts.

Access & Permissions

Not everyone needs access to everything — and that's intentional.

FireFront X uses roles and permissions to control which areas and actions are available to each user.

This means your screen may look slightly different from screenshots in the Help Centre or from what another member of your brigade can see.

If this happens, it doesn't necessarily mean something is missing or broken. Your account may simply have different permissions.

If you believe you should have access to something that isn't available, contact one of your organisation's administrators.

Using FireFront X on Mobile

FireFront X is designed to work across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

The member experience is particularly focused on mobile use, making it easier to quickly find information or complete common tasks without needing to sit down at a computer.

Some advanced administration areas contain more information and may be easier to work with on a larger screen.

Getting Started

If you've just joined FireFront X, a good place to start is:

1. Sign in to your FireFront X account.

2. Confirm that you're connected to the correct organisation.

3. Review your profile and account information.

4. Explore your dashboard and navigation.

5. Check any upcoming activities, notifications or tasks.

6. Familiarise yourself with the features available to your role.

Don't worry about learning everything immediately. FireFront X is designed so you can discover features as you need them.
